Membership apps for creators

Make a membership app your members know is yours.

Start with a real app template, put your name on it, and bring your posts, guides and community together. Your members sign in with the same membership they use on your site.

A branded iPhone and Android member app is included with Pro. See plans.

A template for the way your people gather.

Templates arrange the app; they do not enable paid access or features by themselves. Home layouts currently appear on Android. The iPhone app uses its standard Home with your chosen sections.

How to make your membership app

Your content first. The app follows.

Your website and app use the same published member content, so you can shape the experience without maintaining two libraries.

  1. 01

    Start with your membership

Set up your creator site, plans, posts and the sections your members should see. Your app reads the same published content and access rules.

  2. 02

    Choose an app template

Pick a starting layout for your kind of community. Change its name, look, Home blocks and navigation in Mobile. A template is a starting point, not a permanent design.

  3. 03

    Review before release

Preview the app as a visitor and a member, publish the design you approve, then prepare the separate iPhone and Android store releases.

Before you begin

The practical questions.

Can I make a membership app without coding?

Yes. You choose a template and edit the app name, appearance, Home and sections from Drate’s Mobile page. You do not write app code to arrange your member experience.

What can members do in the app?

They can sign in and see the published posts, guides and sections their access allows. Available sections depend on the features enabled for your space. The app shares membership access with your website.

Does picking a template put an app in the stores?

No. Choosing a template changes a draft app design. Publishing that design and preparing iPhone and Android store releases are separate steps.

Is the app included on the Free plan?

The creator website and memberships start on Free. Your branded iPhone and Android member app is part of Pro. See the current plan details before choosing.
